It’s the first step towards a central archival facility for heritage materials in Huron County.
The Huron County Historical Society made a presentation at county council last month (March 6) looking for support for its business plan for a central archival facility. Basically, to keep collections safe.
Society President David Armstrong explains.
Armstrong says they’re not alone in their concern.
Armstrong says we are at risk of losing these valuable resources for future generations due to a lack of archival facilities and that preserving our heritage is essential.
Secretary-Treasurer Ralph Laviolette says it’s estimated the cost for a business plan would be about 15-thousand dollars.
