The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) is gearing up to revive its beloved Summer Nature Day Camps for the eager young adventurers of 2024.
This year, the program promises even more excitement with expanded camp locations, offering children the chance to explore and discover nature’s wonders in new settings.
Under the banner of WILD (which stands for “Wonder, Investigate, Learn, Discover”), the day camps will be held at familiar spots like Rock Glen and Morrison Dam conservation areas, as well as venturing into Warner Preserve in Grand Bend and the tranquil Ausable River Cut Conservation Area in Port Franks.
Scheduled throughout July and August, the camps cater to different age groups and interests. The action kicks off at Morrison Dam Conservation Area in early July, followed by sessions at Rock Glen later in the month. The final week of August will see campers embarking on a whirlwind tour of themed adventures across various locations, promising a week packed with learning and exploration.
To secure a spot in these sought-after camps, interested families are encouraged to visit the official website for more information and registration details. With spaces filling up fast, it’s time to embrace the call of the wild and embark on an unforgettable journey of discovery in the heart of the Ausable Bayfield watershed.
