Local organizations have the opportunity to request funds from Huron County through its 2024 Supporting Local Economic Development (SLED) program.
This program provides financial support for projects that align with the priorities outlined in Huron County Economic Development’s 2022/25 plan. These priorities include activities related to workforce development, business district enhancement, industry sector growth, community development, tourism, and local food promotion. Projects targeting youth and newcomers to foster community cohesion are also eligible.
Potential applicants may include Business Improvement Areas (BIAs), Chambers of Commerce, arts groups, industry associations, and municipal partners.
Past recipients of SLED funding have included organizations like the Bayfield Lion’s Club, Eat Local Huron, Exeter & District Heritage Fund, and the Zurich Bean Festival.
The deadline for submissions is April 12th, 2024, at 4:30 p.m.
