The Optimist recently donated proceeds from a breakfast to local hospitals! | From South Huron Hospital Foundation, Facebook
The Kirkton-Woodham Optimist Club recently handed over $5000 for local hospitals – that’s as the result of a breakfast they held at the end of Feburary.
Vice-President Brian Richardson recalled the bustling atmosphere.
The generosity of the community shone through as donations poured in, ultimately amounting to over $2500 for each of the benefiting hospitals, South Huron Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital.
Richardson expressed gratitude for the community’s response, highlighting the remarkable achievement of a small town coming together for a meaningful cause.
From the perspective of volunteers, Richardson described the joy of giving back, noting the overwhelming support received from club members and the broader community.
Looking ahead, the Kirkton-Woodham Optimist Club remains dedicated to serving their community, with upcoming events such as the highly anticipated fish fry coming up on April 28th.
