The Municipality of Bluewater is officially collecting spring waste.
Scheduled for the last three Tuesdays of April (16th, 23rd, and 30th), residents in Bluewater can place their yard waste in paper bags at the curb or roadside before 7 a.m. on collection days.
For lakeshore subdivisions west of Highway 21 between Waterworks Road and Paul Bunyan Road, pickup is slated for the last Wednesday of April (April 24th).
It’s important to note that only leaves will be accepted, with strict guidelines excluding brush, garbage, or animal waste.
If you miss your pickup date, don’t fret – The Stanley Landfill welcomes green waste with a valid blue card during public hours, while the Hensall Green Waste Depot, located at the end of Richmond Street South, offers a convenient drop-off point for residents in the area.
Over in Lambton Shores, their Spring Leaf Pick Up Program will be running from April 14 to May 24. During this six-week period, bagged leaves can be conveniently left by the roadside for pickup, ensuring a hassle-free way to dispose of yard waste.
Similar guidelines apply – for residents with additional yard waste beyond leaves, the Compost Site located at 7550 Brush Road will reopen for the season on Wednesday, April 10, weather permitting.
As previously reported, South Huron will be running their leaf pickup from April 15th to April 29th alongside regular garbage pickup.
