For over 16 years, the Glee Sisters women’s choir has been a beacon of musical delight for audiences young and old, offering a vibrant repertoire spanning pop, folk, rock, swing, and show tunes. This year, their much-anticipated “Spring Sing” concert promises to be a jubilant celebration of music while also serving a noble cause.
The concert, slated for April 28 at 2 p.m., will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church and will support the Alzheimer’s Society Huron Perth. This charitable initiative underscores the choir’s commitment to using their talent for the betterment of the community.
The Glee Sisters, are led by conductor Lisa Stewart and accompanied by pianist Mary McGoldrick, along with Laurie Hazzard on bass ukulele. They are gearing up to deliver an unforgettable performance that resonates with the spirit of giving, according to Stewart.
Alzheimer’s is a condition that touches many lives, whether directly or indirectly. With this in mind, the Glee Sisters have dedicated this concert to all caregivers and supporters who tirelessly work towards enhancing the lives of those affected by the disease.
