The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a dispute in Seaforth in early April (Wednesday, April 3rd) leading to criminal charges against a Huron East resident.
Just after 7:00 p.m. Huron OPP received a report of a dispute at an address on Main Street in Seaforth. Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered two males engaged in a heated argument.
The situation escalated dramatically when a 76-year-old from Huron East, allegedly drove his pickup truck directly at the other male, who was on foot, nearly striking him with the vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The individual was promptly arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon and Dangerous Operation.
