Members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) formed a dodgeball team to play in the South Huron District High School dodgeball tournament on Friday, April 26th. The Huron OPP team, called the “Cruisers,” faced off against school teams but struggled against the younger, more agile players.
Constable Jamie Stanley, the Huron OPP school resource officer, organized the event. He mentioned that building positive relationships with the youth is important for the Huron OPP. Constable Craig Soldan, a Community Safety Officer with the Huron OPP, joked that they might need the students’ mercy if they return next year.
