United Way Perth-Huron (UWPH) is calling on dedicated community members to join their Community Impact and Allocations Committee (CIAC).
Megan Partridge, UWPH Director of Governance and Community Impact, emphasized the crucial role of volunteers in the non-profit’s success. “As a non-profit, we rely on a strong group of enthusiastic volunteers to help steer the organization. As a member of CIAC, volunteers are really engaging with the community to discover what’s important to them and decide how UWPH as an organization can best support vulnerable people across our region.”
The CIAC is a vital committee within UWPH, responsible for reviewing and evaluating funding applications, selecting community investments, ensuring funding efficacy through measurement and program evaluation, and engaging with the community to set local priorities.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a three-year term, and UWPH is particularly interested in applicants who live or work in St. Marys, Perth East, South Perth, West Perth, Bluewater, Central Huron, Howick, or Morris-Turnberry.
The strength of UWPH lies in its committed volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the organization effectively serves the communities of Perth-Huron – and this is your chance to make that work a reality.
