Thousands of Ticketmaster customers may have had their information stolen in a recent security breach.
The ticket sales company reported that someone had unauthorized access to one of their databases between April 2nd and May 18th.
Ticketmaster, based in California, says it found out a few days later that some personal information, like email addresses and credit card details, might have been affected.
Ticketmaster is offering credit-monitoring services to customers in Canada and recommends they watch their bank accounts and emails for any suspicious activity.
Consumers are being advised on how credit monitoring can help protect them after a data breach.
TransUnion says credit monitoring can alert you to identity theft and fraud if there is suspicious activity on your accounts.
TransUnion reported earlier this year that more Canadian consumers are signing up for credit monitoring.
