Health care in rural and remote settings will be getting a boost.
The province has announced $10 million to help over 1-thousand nurses enhance their skills for emergency department care as well as provide career growth opportunities.
myFM spoke with Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Sylvia Jones.
Jones announced that this funding will break down barriers and provide more career opportunities for emergency nurses.
Jones adds the enhanced funding will expand access to four key training programs, including virtual training modules, immersion programs, specialty training funds, and a regional educator program.
