Huron County OPP charged a Central Huron resident with several offenses after a traffic stop south of Goderich.
At around 10:10 p.m. on July 24th, a Huron County OPP officer saw a vehicle on Bluewater Highway and stopped it for a traffic violation. The officer suspected the driver had been drinking and asked for a breath sample. The driver provided a breath sample at the roadside, which failed. The driver was then arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for more breath tests.
Once at the detachment, the driver refused to provide the required breath samples.
A 65 year old from Central Huron, has been charged with failing or refusing to comply with a breath demand. He also faces charges under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and the Liquor Licence Control Act (LLCA).
