Some interesting findings from a recent poll conducted by Huron Shores Area Transit…as time ticks away on their full funding from the province.
The poll showed 28 per cent of respondents use the system to get to work, 20 per cent for heading to social or leisure activities and 16 per cent for shopping and medical appointments.
As to where local passengers call home? A majority said they live in Lambton Shores, followed by Kettle and Stony Point, South Huron, Bluewater, North Middlesex then Goderich. A good chunk are also from London or Sarnia.
HSAT says as the system approaches the final eight months of full funding by the province, the poll results, ridership and revenue data will play an important role in shaping their future beyond the pilot project’s end date of March 31st of next year.
