Internet is getting a little more reliable for users in a rural service area.
Hay Communications has launched an 8 Gbps internet service, marking a significant milestone with the first subscriber at this speed in a rural service area.
The new service aims to provide the best connectivity in regions traditionally underserved by major telecommunications companies. The gigabit packages offer competitive speeds to support businesses and homes with enough bandwidth for activities such as virtual reality, video conferencing, and online gaming.
Angela Lawrence, General Manager of Hay Communications, highlighted the proactive approach to meeting future connectivity needs. “Our network technicians have been working on this project for the last year, upgrading fibre optic equipment and the core fibre network,” said Lawrence.
Hay Communications currently serves over 10,000 customers. The company services the towns of Grand Bend, Exeter, Zurich and the broader rural region.
