Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized $9,300 worth of stolen property.
Multiple agencies worked together to execute a search warrant on July 24th, 2024, at a rural property on Belfast Road in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh (ACW).
The teams involved in the investigation were led by the Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) and supported by the Grey-Bruce CSCU, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Aviation Unit, and Huron OPP detachment.
During the operation, four individuals were found at the residence, and two were charged. Recovered stolen items included a re-painted golf cart, a gas-powered backpack blower, and licence plates.
One 43 year-old of ACW Township was charged, alongside a 19 year-old of no fixed address. Charges for the 43-year-old include: Possession of Property obtained by Crime Over $5,000, two counts of Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and Failure to Comply With Probation. The 19-year-old faces the following: Obstructing a Peace Officer and Failure to Comply with Conditions of Release.
Both were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in the Goderich Ontario Court of Justice.
