Car enthusiasts from Southwestern Ontario are coming together to support Make-A-Wish, today. The event will take place at the Grand Bend Motorplex, where participants will race vehicles on a road course for four hours.
One of the Creators of the event, Mike Cybulski explains the event.
The challenge includes not only the number of laps completed but also how creatively participants have modified their cars.
The public is invited to enjoy the car show and a BBQ lunch during the event. All money from the BBQ will also go to Make-A-Wish. Grand Bend Sobeys has donated all the food and drinks, and the Grand Bend Legion is providing the BBQ and a generous donation.
The fundraising for the Make a Wish Foundation doesn’t end once the cars are done the laps, but Cybulski says the cars will go to good use.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 6th, the Tuesday after the civic holiday weekend. Admission to the event is free.
