The Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is letting the public know about a recent increase in police activity near William Street and Frank Street in Lucan.
Around 1:15 p.m. on August 9th, officers from the Middlesex County OPP responded to an address in Lucan for an ongoing investigation. The OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Crisis Negotiators were all called in to help.
At about 4:05 p.m., a person was taken into custody without any problems. There was no danger to public safety during the investigation, but people were advised to avoid the area. All roads have now been reopened.
