The Listeria contamination of several plant-based milks has been traced to a factory in Pickering.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says a dedicated production line at a third-party beverage packaging facility named Joriki was contaminated, with the line disassembled for the investigation.
The Public Health Agency of Canada previously confirmed 18 cases of listeriosis linked to Silk brand almond milk, coconut milk, almond-coconut milk and oat milk as well as Great Value brand almond milk.
There have been 13 hospitalizations across Canada and two deaths in Ontario.
