A suspicious vehicle in Parkhill led to the arrest of three people, including two who were wanted by another police service.
On August 16th Middlesex County OPP and Lambton County OPP were called to William Street East in Parkhill, to check on a suspicious vehicle. Although the vehicle left before police arrived, it returned shortly after, and officers stopped it.
The driver, who was wanted in Sarnia for a previous incident, was arrested without any issues. Inside the vehicle, police found illegal drugs, leading to the arrest of the passenger. A third person, a 21-year-old with no fixed address, was found in a nearby home and was also arrested due to an outstanding warrant from Sarnia.
Police seized over 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine from the vehicle. As a result, the 25-year-old driver from Corunna and the 40-year-old passenger from Parkhill were charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of an opioid for the purpose of trafficking.
The Middlesex OPP reminds the public to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
