Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness Rob Flack spoke to myFM about the avian flu that caused some concerns across Canada earlier this year.
Flack says he gets weekly updates and luckily, the province hasn’t seen a major influx.
Flack had some advice for producers to avoid contamination.
The latest figures from Inspection Canada showed 11 million impacted birds, about 900,000 of which in Ontario.
There’s been one infected commercial premise in the province this year, in the town of Amhertsburg.
