On Thursday, September 5th Tourism Sarnia Lambton will make an exciting announcement at 10 a.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton in Point Edward.
Sarnia Lambton has been chosen to host Hockey Canada’s 2024 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, a prestigious international hockey event from November 1st to 9th. This tournament will feature talented young hockey players from around the world.
Attendees will learn about the teams that will participate, details on where the games will be held, and how to get tickets. There will also be discussions on how the tournament will benefit local businesses and boost tourism in the area, as well as plans to involve and engage fans from across Southwestern Ontario and beyond.
Lucan was a co-host of the event back in 2008 with London, Strathroy, St. Thomas, Stratford and Woodstock. Sarnia first hosted the event back in 2014.
Everyone is invited to come together and celebrate, as Sarnia Lambton prepares for a week filled with thrilling hockey, community involvement, and the spirit of sportsmanship.
