- Virtual Reality Free Play – Goderich @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Discover the Huron County Library’s exciting new Virtual Reality headset by booking a session at the Goderich Branch today! Participants can dive into the action with games like Beat Saber, explore the globe through immersive travel experiences, enjoy a relaxing round of mini golf, meditate in serene virtual environments, and so much more! A signed waiver is required before using the VR headset. Participants under 16 years require a signed waiver from their parent/guardian. Waiver forms are available at the library.
- Craft & Chat – Wingham @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Drop into the Alice Munro Branch in Wingham to work on your crafting projects as you enjoy social time with others. This is a Drop in program that doesn’t require registration
- Crafters Circle – Blyth @ 5:45 pm – 6:45 pm. Drop into the Blyth Branch Monday evenings for Crafters Circle, a free program that invites local crafters to get together for an hour to work on projects. Bring along your hand-held or lap projects and your love of making for this casual drop-in program.
- English Conversation Circle – Goderich @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Join us at Goderich Branch for our English Conversation Circles. Conversation Circles are a great opportunity to practice English speaking skills and make new connections, while talking, listening, learning, and laughing about life in Canada. This program is provided in partnership with Huron County Immigration Partnership. This is a drop-in program – no registration is necessary.

- Health in Huron: Exploring Community Care @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Opening the gate to Season 5 of the Rural Health Series is the “Health in Huron” event at the Huron County Museums on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, from 9:30 am – 12:30 PM. Grasp the history, challenges and possibilities of healthcare in rural communities. Event speakers will include David Yates (Historian & Author), Dr. Alexandrea Peel (Rural Geriatrician), Casandra Bryant (PhD Candidate at Guelph in Rural Studies), and Deb Shelley (Huron Hospice Volunteer). Be prepared for an incredible event with catering from Cait’s Café, hair-raising history, memorable music and the cultivation of conversation all about rural health.
