- Tai Chi – Wingham @ 10:30 am – 11:30 am. Join us at the Alice Munro Branch for a Tai Chi session, all skill levels welcome! This program is run by community volunteers and is a drop-in program, so no registration is necessary.
- Mahjong – Bayfield @ 12:45 pm – 3:00 pm. Do you want to learn Mahjong or are you an experienced player? Drop in the first and third Wednesday of each month for a fun social afternoon at the Bayfield Branch. Please note this program is run by community volunteers.

- North Huron Job Fair @ 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Mark your calendar and prepare to take the next step in your career journey at the North Huron Job Fair 2024! Join us at the Columbus Centre in Wingham on September 18, 2024 to build valuable connections, gain new skills, and unlock career opportunities. Whether you’re looking for a job, seeking to hire new talent, or simply wanting to network with professionals in your field, this job fair has something for everyone. Bonus Information Session – Exhibitors are welcome to join us early, starting at 1:30 pm, to hear Dave Barrett from Employment Services Bruce Grey Huron Perth discuss Employment Ontario’s transition to Integrated Employment Services. He will touch on program changes and benefits for job seekers and employers, Future Fit AI – their new career navigation tool, and an update on Service Provider coverage in Huron County.
- English Conversation Circle – Exeter @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Join us at Exeter Branch for our English Conversation Circles. Conversation Circles are a great opportunity to practice English speaking skills and make new connections, while talking, listening, learning, and laughing about life in Canada. This program is provided in partnership with Huron County Immigration Partnership. This is a drop-in program – no registration is necessary.
- Meet your Neighbour – Seaforth @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The program is an organized “mix and mingle” hosted at the Seaforth Branch in partnership with the Huron County Immigration Partnership. If you are newly retired, new parents, new to the town, new to Canada, or anyone wanting to learn more about their community, we invite you to join us. The goal for Meet Your Neighbour events is to create and cultivate social connections between community members and local organizations for the purpose of increasing community engagement for the benefit of all and our community as a whole. This is a drop-in program, no registration is necessary.

- EarlyON – Seaforth @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am. Join us indoors at Northside United Church – 54 Goderich St. W, Seaforth Enter the parking lot off of Church Street. Watch for our EarlyON sign closest to the door that you’ll enter. If the door is locked, ring the doorbell to the upper right of the door. For Parents/Caregivers with children 0-6 years. Register to join us to connect with other families and EarlyON Facilitators, engage in play-based activities, sing interactive songs and chat about topics of interest to parents. - Seaforth Library Book Club @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Seaforth Library Book Club meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from noon until 1pm. Everyone welcome. Please contact the library for the title of the month.
- Knitting Group – Bayfield Branch @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Knit, relax and meet fellow knitters each week at the Bayfield Branch. All are welcome to drop into this free program to knit together and share tips and tricks. Please note this program is community-led.

Join local historian David Yates at the Blyth Branch as he shares some of the stories of Gothic Huron, his latest book that explores heroes, rogues, murder, daring, bawdy houses, and other tales from the Victorian Era in Huron County. - Multilingual Movie Nights: Ru & Refugee Panel Discussion @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. In honour of Welcoming Week, the Huron County Museum and the Huron County Local Immigration Partnership are presenting the film Ru, followed by a panel discussion reflecting on the local response to the 1980s refugee crisis, which saw many families arrive from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Join us for this discussion, and the premiere of the museum’s annual Multilingual Movie Nights film series. Ru is a Canadian drama film adapted from Kim Thúy’s award-winning 2009 novel of the same name. The film centres on the coming-of-age of Tinh, a young girl from Vietnam who moves to rural Quebec and is confronted with adapting to Canadian culture and society. The film is in French, with English subtitles.
