The Sunset Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its annual Greater Grand Bend Community Fund Granting Program. Eligible organizations can apply for funding to support projects that improve the quality of life for people living in the Greater Grand Bend Area.
The Greater Grand Bend Advisory Committee will review applications in mid-October, and organizations will be notified by early November.
The Grand Bend Community Foundation was originally established in 2001 with $1.5 million from the sale of the town’s Public Utilities Commission. Today, it has grown into an endowment of over $3.2 million, including funds like the M.J. Muma Endowment Fund, Krech Family Fund, Mathers Family Fund, and others. These funds support a wide range of areas including:
Children and Youth
Community Facilities
Family and Community
Healthcare
Physical Activity and Recreation
Education
Social Services
Environmental Preservation and Revitalization
Arts and Culture
