As of September 17th, the Bayfield Fire Station siren will be turned back on. The siren alerts volunteer firefighters when they need to respond to emergencies and lets the community know to watch for fire trucks. On September 17th, you might hear the siren a few times as it gets tested.
From now on, the siren will sound around 6 p.m. every Tuesday for weekly testing. If you hear the siren at other times, it means firefighters are responding to an emergency. The siren will only be active between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., and will not sound during the night.
