On October 22nd, 1967, the Huron County OPP received a report about two men who went missing after a fishing trip from the Port of Goderich. Neil Wormsbecker and Hank Halff, aged 29 and 30, disappeared while fishing in Lake Huron. They lived in the Stratford area at the time.
The OPP is asking any living family members to come forward and provide a DNA sample. This will help compare against samples of found human remains in their database. The Ontario Center for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains (ONCMPUR) and the National Missing Persons DNA Program (NMDP) are working to solve these old cases and give families closure.
If you have any information about this case or any other incidents, please contact Huron OPP.
