Three people have been charged in connection with a threats investigation.
On September 16th at about 4:20 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of threats in Lambton Shores.
As a result of their investigation, on October 2nd, a 12-year-old from Lambton Shores was arrested and charged with two offenses: making threats to cause death or bodily harm and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The youth’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). They have been released from custody and are set to appear in Ontario Court of Justice later.
Two adults from Lambton Shores were also arrested and charged with several offenses, including careless storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm. They have also been released from custody and will appear in court later.
All names and ages are being kept private to protect the youth’s identity. No more details will be shared due to the YCJA
