Entegrus advises the line crews heading to Florida have been called off while en route to the Sunshine State. No reason was given for the change in plans, however the damage may have been less than anticipated.
In a media advisory, Entegrus President and CEO Jim Hogan advises, “We are incredibly proud of how our team came together to prepare and deploy in such a short time. While our crew won’t be assisting on-site in Florida, this experience reaffirms our commitment to providing aid in times of crisis.
“Our thoughts remain with those impacted by these devastating storms.”
The release notes the convoy will return home in time for Thanksgiving.

Entegrus has dispatched a team of 14 staff members to Florida to assist in restoring power following Hurricane Helene and in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
The Ontario utility company is supporting Florida Power & Light in the aftermath of the storms, helping to restore power to thousands of affected residents.
Jim Hogan, President and CEO of Entegrus, highlighted the company’s commitment to disaster relief, stating, “We’re proud to assist our American counterparts in these challenging times. Our crews are well-equipped and experienced to handle the conditions.”
Entegrus will also be joined by Bluewater Power, ERTH Power, Essex Powerlines, and E.L.K. Energy, showcasing a collaborative effort amoung Ontario utilities.
This marks another chapter in Entegrus’ history of providing disaster relief across North America, having previously aided FPL during Hurricane Irma in 2017.
The team’s stay will depend on the damage caused by the storms, with safety remaining a top priority.
