It’s Crabby Joe’s game day. The Exeter Hawks face off against the Aylmer Spitfires tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
Jack Dalrymple, the dedicated goalie for the Exeter Hawks, has been passionate about hockey since his early years growing up in Exeter.
He fell in love with the unique challenge of goaltending, a position he embraced from the Tyke level, despite his parents’ initial reservations.
Now in his third season with the Hawks, Jack really values the strong friendships in the locker room and the close connection with the coaching staff. He appreciates how the team focuses on working together rather than individual goals. Jack’s leadership comes through in his ability to stay positive and support his teammates, even during tough times.
A true competitor, Jack has a unique pregame routine which he believes helps him stay sharp.
With strong local roots, Jack feels a deep connection to the community, noting how having local players helps draw in fans, motivating the team even more.
His biggest inspiration in hockey has always been his dad, who introduced him to the game and continues to support him at every match.
This season, his goal is clear: take the team deep into the playoffs, aiming for the Schmalz Cup.
Ahead of their next game, Jack’s message to the fans is simple:
Go tonight and cheer on your hometown Hawks! Come before or after the game and fuel up at Crabby Joe’s in Exeter.
