Lambton OPP recently took part in the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend Traffic Campaign over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend.
The Campaign, named Operation Impact is an education and enforcement Campaign implemented in an effort to increase public compliance with traffic laws and targets behaviours that place drivers, passengers, and other road users at risk.
This year, Lambton OPP Officers conducted more than 200 traffic stops and laid more than 140 charges during the initiative, including 104 for speeding, 3 for stunt driving, 2 for seatbelt use, and 2 for impaired driving.
OPP Officers also issued more than 120 warnings to motorists during the Campaign period.
