Members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police , West Region OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, are partnering with the Avon Maitland District School Board on November 15th to conduct emergency response training at the Goderich District Collegiate Institute High School in Goderich.
The school, located at 260 South Street in Goderich, will be closed to students as they have a P.A. Day.
Emergency responders will be conducting training exercises pertaining to scenarios involving high risk situations including active attackers. Training is planned to commence at 9 a.m. and will continue until approximately 1 p.m. on Friday, November 15th.
Members of the public will notice several emergency response vehicles and personnel in and around the school property and need not be alarmed.
