Tomorrow is Crabby Joe’s game day. The Exeter Hawks face off against Thamesford tomorrow night at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
Carter Bowerman, centreman for the Exeter Hawks, has become a cornerstone of the team and a role model for his fellow players. Growing up in Exeter, Carter’s love for hockey started at home.
From his early days playing with the Sabres, Exeter’s minor hockey team, and later the Perth Lakers, Carter has shown a strong commitment to the game.
This season, Carter has taken on the role of centreman, a position he started playing at the coach’s suggestion.
His adaptability and skill have made him an asset to the Hawks, where he’s now the team’s longest-serving player. Being a hometown guy, Carter takes pride in making new players feel welcome.
Carter emphasized the strong bond among the team members, describing them as a close-knit group that always communicates and supports one another.
He credits the fans for creating an electric atmosphere during games.
Setting goals for the season, Carter aims to improve on his performance from last year while leading the Hawks to success.
On game days, Carter sticks to a simple routine—arriving at the rink early, always aiming to be the first one there. He also believes the fans play a big part in the team’s energy and motivation.
As the Hawks prepare for their next matchup, Carter had a heartfelt message for their supporters.
