Police conducted a drug investigation in South Huron that led to the seizure of illegal substances and related items, as well as charges against two local residents. The operation involved several units, including the Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce OPP Community Street Crimes Units, the West Region Emergency Response Team, and the Huron County OPP.
The investigation began with suspicions of drug trafficking in the area. On November 28th, police executed a search warrant at a home on Main Street in Exeter. They seized illegal drugs valued at nearly $4,000 and other items, including an imitation firearm, worth about $1,400.
A 29-year-old man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and fentanyl and failing to comply with probation. He was released with a court date set for January 2025.
A 58-year-old man was charged with possession of cocaine and clonazepam. He was also released with a January court date.
