Today is Crabby Joe’s game day. The Exeter Hawks face off against Alymer tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
Jimmy Schiedel, wearing #25 for the Exeter Hawks, brings his skill and passion to the ice as a right-wing player. Born in Calgary, Jimmy moved to Ontario at the age of five, where he began his hockey journey.
Now in his second season with the team, Jimmy has become a valued member both on and off the ice.
Jimmy’s career playing right wing began early.
Now, his focus is on contributing to the Hawks’ success and enjoying the camaraderie with his teammates, which he says is one of the best parts of being on the team.
For Jimmy, the bond with his teammates and coaches is vital. He describes the team as supportive and open, where everyone can rely on each other both professionally and personally.
This year, Jimmy says the team has one goal in mind: to win.
Exeter’s fans are key part of the Hawks’ experience. Jimmy praises their energy and enthusiasm, noting how their cheers and support from the stands motivate the team to perform at their best.
Off the ice, Jimmy enjoys the team’s pre-game tradition of playing “sewer,” a game that brings everyone together before matches. He also keeps things simple with a quick stretch before hitting the ice.
Jimmy’s hopes to see many Hawks fans fill the arena stands, cheering the guys on.
At tonight’s game will also be a special bake sale, with proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron! Go and cheer on your hometown Hawks! Come before or after the game and fuel up at Crabby Joe’s in Exeter.
