Huron County OPP has charged a 26-year-old Central Huron resident with impaired driving after a traffic stop on December 22nd.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Huron Road near Goderich in Central Huron. After speaking with the driver, police determined the driver was impaired.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Sebringville OPP detachment, where they underwent tests with an OPP Drug Recognition Expert.
A 26-year-old of Central Huron, has been charged with impaired operation due to alcohol and drugs. Additional charges were also laid under the Highway Traffic Act and the Cannabis Control Act.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
