Huron County OPP has charged a 43-year-old London resident with impaired driving after a traffic stop during a R.I.D.E. check, in Central Huron.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Stone School Line and found the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested and taken to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton, where breath tests showed results over the legal alcohol limit.
The driver has been charged with operation while impaired with readings over the legal limit and dangerous operation. Additional charges were laid under the Liquor Licence Control Act and the Tobacco Tax Act. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
