A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Goderich, Exeter, Bluewater, and Southern Huron County. Strong southwesterly winds are expected throughout the day.
Winds could gust up to 70 or 80 km/h, causing blowing and drifting snow that will reduce visibility and make driving difficult. These high winds may also toss loose objects, break tree branches, and possibly cause power outages.
The winds will start this morning and continue through the evening, gradually decreasing overnight. A strong cold front will also pass through the area tonight, bringing bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow. This could cause sudden drops in visibility and a sharp drop in temperature.
Take care when traveling or being outside during these conditions.
