Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after police carried out search warrants in Huron and Middlesex Counties.
On January 14th, officers from several Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) units searched two locations—one on Victoria Street West in Exeter and another on William Street in Lucan.
During the searches, police seized nearly $44,000 worth of suspected cocaine and opioids, along with $16,290 in Canadian cash and $170 in U.S. currency. Other items linked to the investigation, valued at about $2,100, were also taken.
A 46-year-old from South Huron, has been charged with drug trafficking involving opioids. He was processed and later released, with a court date set for February 24th, in Goderich.
A 40-year-old from Lucan-Biddulph Township, has been charged with drug trafficking involving cocaine. He was processed and held for a bail hearing, after which he was placed in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court in London.
