On January 31st, Huron County OPP investigated an incident involving intimate partners in Huron East.
After looking into the situation, police found that a suspect had allegedly committed several crimes against their partner. A 56-year-old from Huron East was arrested and charged with assault and nine counts of failing to follow a probation order.
The accused was taken into custody and later appeared in court for a bail hearing. They remain in custody and have a scheduled court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
