It’s Crabby Joe’s game day. The Exeter Hawks face off against Mount Brydges tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
Tyler Strain is making his mark in his first season with the Exeter Hawks. The goalie, wearing jersey number 1, has quickly settled into his new team and is excited about what’s ahead.
Strain grew up in London, and comes from a hockey-loving family. His parents and brothers all played the sport, so it was natural for him to follow in their footsteps.
His decision to play goalie came early.
Joining the Hawks this season, Strain has been impressed with the tight-knit team. He noted the bond between teammates is unmatched.
Strain says the only thing better than his teammates in the Hawks Organization is the fans.
Like any team, having the fans fill the stands pushes the Hawks to play the best game they can.
With the playoffs approaching, Strain and his teammates are focused on one goal: winning it all.
Before that, the Hawks face Mount Bridges in their final home game of the regular season. Strain has a simple message for fans.
The Hawks have already secured a playoff spot and currently sit in second place, with a chance to take first. While the playoff schedule is yet to be confirmed, one thing is certain—Strain and the Hawks are ready to give it their all.
Go and cheer on your hometown Hawks! Come before or after the game and fuel up at Crabby Joe’s in Exeter!
