A 51-year-old South Huron resident has been charged with impaired driving after being stopped at RIDE check on March 11th.
Huron County OPP were conducting the check at Huron Street East and Morrison Line in South Huron, targeting impaired drivers. When officers stopped a vehicle, they suspected impairment and arrested the driver. The driver was taken to the Middlesex OPP detachment for further testing by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) officer.
As a result, a 51 year old of South Huron, was charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs.
The driver’s vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their licence was suspended for 90 days.
