Conservative MP Ben Lobb has confirmed he will seek re-election, aiming to extend a parliamentary career that began in 2008.
Lobb has held the Huron–Bruce seat through four consecutive elections and says his focus heading into the next vote will be shaped by long-term national priorities.
Over his tenure, Lobb has served on several key committees, including Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, and Health — where he was previously Chair. Reflecting on his time as MP for Huron–Bruce, Lobb says his approach to politics is rooted in personal connection.
Lobb says while addressing Canada’s rising cost of living remains critical, any new government should also prioritize building up two foundational sectors.
Before entering politics, Lobb worked in finance for Wescast Industries and D2L. He holds a business degree from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennesee.
He currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Digital Government and is a co-founder of the Conservative Blockchain Caucus.
Lobb reflected on his time in Parlament and hopes to see it continue.
Looking ahead, Lobb says there is one important thing the Government needs to focus on.
