Two people from North Huron are facing charges after a police investigation in the village of Blyth earlier this month.
On Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, Huron County OPP officers and the Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit were on patrol near a storage unit facility in Blyth when they noticed a suspicious vehicle. Inside the vehicle were two individuals, and police say the driver was arrested for impaired driving.
During the investigation, officers found suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $8,220. Police also seized cell phones and a digital scale, items believed to be connected to drug trafficking. The value of the other items seized is about $2,050.
A 61 year old of North Huron, has been charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, and impaired driving.
A 56 year old also from North Huron, has been charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine.
