Although the results weren’t what she had hoped for, Huron-Bruce NDP candidate Melanie Burrett is staying positive after election night.
Speaking with myFM, Burrett shared that the experience showed her just how community-focused the people of Huron-Bruce are.
When asked if she would do anything differently, Burrett said she had no regrets.
To those who supported her in the election, Burrett offered a heartfelt thank you. She said she feels encouraged by their faith in her and plans to carry that support forward into the next election.
Ben Lobb was re-elected to represent the residents of Huron-Bruce in Ottawa.
myFM reached out to Liberal candidate James Rice and MP Ben Lobb for comment, however, neither has responded.
