Huron County is taking time this week to recognize and thank the paramedics who provide life-saving care across the region every day. Paramedic Services Week 2025 runs from May 18 to 24 and shines a light on the important work these frontline professionals do.
More than 100 paramedics, along with supervisors and support staff, are part of Huron County’s emergency response system. They are often the first to arrive during a medical emergency and play a key role in keeping the community safe and healthy.
This year’s national theme is “We Care. For Everyone.” It highlights the commitment paramedics show in serving people of all ages and backgrounds, wherever and whenever help is needed.
Each year, Huron County paramedics respond to nearly 10,000 emergency calls. They work closely with 911 dispatchers, firefighters, and police to provide quick and professional care, whether it’s helping someone with a serious injury or safely transporting patients to the hospital.
The County of Huron is proud of its paramedic team and thanks them for their compassion, skill, and dedication to caring for others.
