Today is Proudly Canadian, Proudly Local day here on myFM, sponsored by Libro Credit Union!
Coursey Electric is a growing business in Lucan, Ontario, proudly Canadian and proudly local. The company, started by owner Ben Campbell in 2022, provides residential, commercial, and agricultural electrical work across the area. With a team of eight, including four licensed electricians, four apprentices, and a co-op student, Campbell says the goal has always been to do safe, reliable work and support the local community.
He says one of the reasons he started the company was to make sure electrical jobs were done properly.
Even the business name, Coursey Electric, comes from close to home. Campbell lives on Coursey Line in Lucan, and the name just felt like the perfect fit. The logo also has a local touch as it was inspired by bulls in a nearby field, spotted from his living room window.
Campbell says working close to home means a lot to him. Being Canadian-owned and locally operated allows his team to help their neighbours and build strong relationships with people nearby.
Campbell believes that choosing local businesses is important for the future.
