Huron Hospice is inviting the community to take part in this year’s “Hike for Hospice,” on Sunday, May 25th at the Blyth Campground. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and promises a fun and meaningful day for people of all ages.
Manager of Fund Development and Communications, Christopher Walker explains the day.
Walker mentioned the hike is more than just a walk.
Organizers say the hike is important because half of the hospice’s yearly funding comes from donations and fundraising. The money helps provide services like end-of-life care, grief support, and respite care, all offered free to families in the area.
While pre-registration is encouraged to help with planning, everyone is welcome to show up on the day of the event and join in. To register in advance, visit huronhospice.ca and look for the hike button on the homepage.
The hike is a way to come together as a community, support a good cause, and enjoy time with family and friends.
If you have any questions or need help registering, you can call Christopher Walker at 519-525-7352.
