Students at St. Aloysius Catholic School in Stratford are getting ready to play ball on a brand-new baseball field, thanks to the Jays Care Foundation and TD. The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board has announced the official grand opening of the school’s new “Field of Dreams” on Thursday, June 5th at 1:45 p.m.
The celebration will welcome guests from TD and the Jays Care Foundation, who will join students and staff to officially open the field. After the ribbon-cutting, students will take part in fun baseball activities led by members of the Jays Care Foundation team.
The new field is far from ordinary. It features a fully upgraded clay infield that meets U11 baseball standards, along with brand-new covered dugouts. The project was made possible by more than $52,000 in funding from the Jays Care Foundation and TD. The work began after the school received the grant in May 2024.
