The Emergency Department at Clinton Public Hospital will be closed temporarily due to staff shortages. The closure will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, and the ER will reopen with regular hours 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15.
People who need urgent medical help during this time should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will still be available and will take patients to the nearest emergency department that is open.
If you need health advice that is not an emergency, you can call Health Connect Ontario at 811. This service is free and available 24 hours a day.
Nearby emergency departments that are open 24 hours include the Seaforth Community Hospital, Alexandra Marine & General Hospital in Goderich, and South Huron Hospital in Exeter. However, it’s a good idea to check if these hospitals are running on regular hours before you go.
