Exeter’s downtown is seeing new energy this summer thanks to a fresh event series called Stroll and Social Wednesdays, hosted by the Exeter BIA. These weekly events are a brand-new way to bring the community together and encourage people to explore local shops, parks, and history.
Caroline Hill, Business Manager of the Exeter BIA, says the events are already off to a great start.
The next Stroll and Social is planned for tomorrow (Wednesday), weather permitting, and will include a morning full of relaxing and fun experiences.
At 9:00 a.m., participants can enjoy a casual walk through the downtown core, stopping to admire local shops along the way.
At 10:30 a.m., West Coast Active Living is sponsoring a yoga session in McNaughton Park. Participants can simply show up and take part, no registration is needed.
On June 25th, the final event in the series will take place, and the theme that day is all about local history.
Hill said it’s a great way to connect with Exeter’s roots as Canada Day approaches.
Stroll and Social Wednesdays are also part of a fun local shopping contest.
Hill says the BIA is proud to introduce these new events and hopes to keep the momentum going throughout the summer.
